Lizz Zitron wants you to know that she is from Kansas City Missouri and   NOT Kansas City Kansas! She has three siblings-an older brother, a younger brother and a sister ten years younger than her. Her father is a basketball coach in in higher ed-women's basketball at that. Lizz prides herself in having "grown up under the bleachers".

She is an avid hiker and also loves to knit and read. Her cat is named Henry V. I bet you can say why! She is married to Erik Tou (which, by the way, means King of Magic in Norwegian) who is a mathematics professor for PLU and for St. Martins University program at JBLM.

Lizz has lived in several states such as MO, NY. IL, WI, OR and WA. She also studied abroad in London. Prior to her work as a librarian, she also worked for Wiley and Princeton Review. One of Lizz's favorite professional assignments is one she is doing now. She is a member of the  Amelia Bloomer Award Committee. This national committee recognizes the best feminist books for children and teenagers. In the last six months, Lizz has read over 150 books for this assignment.

Lizz is also a valuable member of PLU's PLUTO team. We are sure glad that she is a member of our I & TS team here at PLU.
