American Cancer Society | Relay For Life Lizz is supporting the American Cancer Society and participating in Relay For Life® on campus. Lizz would love for you to join her team. Every Relay For Life event is a time for our school to honor cancer survivors, remember those lost to this disease, and raise funds and awareness to help end cancer forever. This year is especially important to Lizz because she and her husband, Erik, named their son Asher John after her dear friend John Bruton who died way too soon because of cancer. He was a special, lovely soul whose legacy she wanted to share with her son. By joining her Relay For Life team and helping them fundraise, more people will: Have the information and tools they need to avoid getting cancer or find the disease early, when it's easiest to treat Have a place to turn for help 24/7 Benefit from the progress being made toward finding cancer's causes and cures Get access to lifesaving screenings and treatment Too many people will be touched by cancer this year.
