New Wiegand Multimedia Lab

We now have a new updated Weigand Multimedia Lab located in the Morken Center for Learning and Technology, rm 115.

The Lab offers patrons access to print, web and video design workstations as well as advance audio production.

Attached is a picture of the new room configuration which offers the best setup for facilitated instruction.

The space is perfect for small group workshops, offering the instructors the ability to close themselves off from the general public.

The new Dell T5500s match the configuration of the computers in the Design Lab, located the Library. This will allow students to move their projects easily between the two locations.

With the use of network stored projects and webcam conferencing, cross campus collaboration on media project is now a reality.

With the use of online teaching and learning tools like, Big Blue Button, the potential of conducting two workshops simultaneously in each of the labs in now a possibility.

With the support of Web Development, User Support and Enterprise Systems, Instructional Technologies hopes to push the limits of what can be done with technology to enhance teaching and learning at PLU.

Thanks to everyone who helped to get the lab up and running for the new year,

Nick Butler
