Colleagues,

Fran just informed me that Gail Egbers, librarian extraordinaire, received notification from Laree Winer from the Student Life Office that she was recognized by a PLU student as being the person on campus who has been the most helpful in their success at the university.

Laree wrote to Gail:

"First year students just completed the spring check-up survey portion of the MAP-Works Program .  In case you are unfamiliar with MAP-Works it is a student success program utilized by the Student Life Division in order to identify students who may be at risk for poor academic performance and/or retention.  One of the questions on the MAP-Works survey is: name the person on campus who has been most helpful in your success.  I am writing to share that student XXXX XXX indicated that person was you."

I &TS colleagues, please take time to congratulate Gail on this exceptional recognition.
