Evelyn Huppert, a longtime library employee, died on March 10 . Evelyn started working at PLU in 1983 helping with the ID card program. She then worked part time both in the Circulation department and for Multi-Media Services until her retirement in 2004. She was nominated as an inspirational woman by the library staff in 1999 and some of the comments made about Evelyn was that she was the epitome of grace under pressure,
Further comments about Evelyn were made at her retirement at the Rose Window Society dinner where she was described as " ageless, generous, beautiful, greathearted, spirited, exquisite and missed."

There will be an open house in her memory at the Assembly Room of the Weatherly Inn at 6016 No. Highlands Pkwy in Tacoma on Sunday, March 16 from 1-3pm.
