Susan began her tenure at Pacific Lutheran University in 1971, serving in a variety of roles including Head of Reference and three years on the Library Management Team.
Since beginning her phased retirement, in 2010, Susan has been serving as Chief Collection Weeder (no, that is not a real title). Here diligent work has been invaluable in opening up space on our ever-tightening shelves.
To give you a sense of the impact of Susan's efforts, in the past three years she has identified 4243 book titles and 451 journal titles for withdrawal -- that is equivalent to over 300 shelves of materials.
Please join the Library Services team in wishing Susan a happy retirement and thanking her for her years of dedicated service to PLU.
