Not a shot in the dark

Three cheers for modern medicine and avoiding preventable disease, like the flu. Three more cheers for free flu shots this Wednesday for all faculty, staff, and administrators.

The flu is a serious disease that can spread quickly, making some people very ill. Flu season is upon us, but you can fight the good fight against infection with a flu shot. The shot is different each year and is based upon research to determine which strains might be the most prevalent. While some people do experience side effects, the benefits far outweigh a few sniffles.  If needles make you queasy, check out these tips

How to get your free flu shot:


No cost immunizations are being provided to all employees; however, please bring your PLU Group Health insurance card and photo identification if enrolled. 
October 2, 2013 - Wednesday 
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Anderson University Center, CK East

You will be required to fill out a Consent Claim Form. You may fill out the form ahead of time or on the day of the clinic.  Download the attached form or visit the Human Resources home page http://www.plu.edu/human-resources/. If you have questions, please call Human Resources at ext. 7185.
