What's happening in I&TS Web Development?

The beginning of the academic school year is a busy time for everyone at PLU, and we are no exception. As things ramp back up, we tend to prioritize our Web support responsibilities.
Web development in action
  • As hundreds of people use Sakai each day, we strive to keep the system running well and to help respond to Help Desk tickets as they come in.
  • We also lend the occasional helping hand to deal with any problems with Cascade Server as it too experiences high user load.
With the first week of classes over, things are starting to settle back down, and we're looking forward to focusing on a few key projects:
  • Deploying infrastructure to serve as the foundation for a reimplementation of the PLU Search and Directory.
  • Working with the University Archives team to migrate their digital collections into DSpace.
  • Hiring a new Web Application Developer for our team.
